Skyler Martinson is the Founder & President of Mountain Wave Advisors. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a Masters in Business Administration (MBA). He has extensive accounting experience with operating an accounting department for a mid-sized company as well as working in public accounting for a leading firm, auditing some of the fastest-growing companies across the Intermountain West.
Skyler has experience serving clients across an array of industries including Lawyers, Dentists, SaaS, manufacturing, healthcare, consumer packaged goods, and retail that generate annual revenues up to $200+ million.
Skyler is passionate about serving his clients and helping them find solutions. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, traveling, golfing, exploring the mountains, and exercising. He and his wife, Katie, reside in Salt Lake City.
My Story
I’ve always loved numbers. As a child, I remember sitting in the middle seat, next to the driver and feeling the thrill of watching the numbers roll higher and higher on the digital speedometer as we accelerated. This love of numbers eventually led me to become a Certified Public Accountant.
Prior to starting my own entrepreneurial journey, I was on the same career path as so many other ambitious accountants; working in public accounting for a prestigious firm. My experience in public accounting was amazing as I served some of the fastest-growing companies in the Intermountain West.
I’ve taken my passion for accounting and serving clients to form my own business. Throughout my career, I’ve witnessed that accounting is the most underutilized business function. My experience of running an accounting department and serving rapidly growing companies has prepared me to be of value to businesses by helping them with their accounting needs. Accounting provides business owners and executive management with the information needed to make the best decisions to grow your business.
My purpose with Mountain Wave Advisors is to help small-mid sized businesses make the most of their accounting to help grow their business.
